Franz-Jürgen Dörsam

Born in 1961 in Mannheim, Germany. He began his musical training in Clarinet, Bassoon and Piano with Prof. Emil Schmitt, bassoonist in National Theater Mannheim. Started studying bassoon with Prof. Klaus Thünemann at the Musikhochschule Hannover and continued with Prof. Alfred Rinderspacher Musikhochshule in Mannheim, where he graduated with a master's degree. He worked as a soloist bassoon in Symphonisches Orchester Berlin in Nordwestdeutschen Philharmonie in Herford and Sinfonieorchester Wuppertal. 
Collaborated with several orchestras such as the Wiener Symphoniker, the Operas of Dortmund and Düsseldorf, the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra and the Kurpfälzisches Kammerorchester Mannheim. Held several master classes of bassoon, among others at the Conservatory of Porto and Wind Academy Mannheim. He has performed as a soloist in concerts for bassoon and orchestra Weber, Mozart, Hummel and others, with several orchestras.
Recorded several solo concerts as the Duett-Concertino for Clarinet, Bassoon and Orchestra by Richard Strauss with the Lisbon Metropolitan Orchestra, the bassoon concerto and orchestra JN Hummel with SAP Kammerphilharmonie, a CD with the Duo Concertant Lisbon (Bassoon und Piano) and a CD with his two brothers, 3D Trio. Conducted tours with several orchestras in England, Holland, Poland, Italy, France, Spain, Macau, South Korea, Thailand, India, Japan, and Switzerland. Since 1995 is Bassoon Soloist The LISBON METROPOLITAN ORCHESTRA in and Professor of Bassoon ACADEMY TOP NATIONAL ORCHESTRA.
