Álvaro Silva, a young interpreter who crosses his path simultaneously with his passion for composition. Guiding his work by promoting the euphonium, both by creating, transcribing and commissioning new pices for the instrument, as well as in solo recitals or with several original groups.
He was born on July 1, 1994 in Ovar (Portugal) and began his musical studies at 9 years old at the Escola da Banda Filarmónica Ovarense in the trombone class, with Rui Bandeira, António Covas and José Azevedo as teachers. In 2007, he joined the Academia de Música do Orfeão de Ovar in the class of teachers Daniel Dias and Alcides Paiva and in 2010 he was admitted to the Conservatório de Música do Porto, in the class of Avelino Ramos (euphonium), where he completed Secondary Artistic Secondary Education in 2014 Instrument, with a grade of 19 points. In 2014 he is admitted by the School of Music and Performing Arts (ESMAE) in the in Musical Performance Degree in the class of teachers Sérgio Carolino and Ricardo Antão, ending in 2017 with a maximum grade of 20 values.
His composition studies began under the guidance of Professor Fernando Valente and later by Telmo Marques, Carlos Azevedo and Fernando Lapa.
