Luís Mercês was born on June 30, 1996, in Caldas da Rainha. He first started his musical studies on 2006 in Banda do Comercio e da Industria das Caldas da Rainha and later was accepted on the conservatoire of the same sitie. On 2013 initiated the study of composition in the Óbidos Musical Academy under Luís Soldado's supervision and, concluded his studies on Escola de Música do Conservatório Nacional under Daniel Schvetz orientation.
