He studied trumpet at the Conservatory of Music Calouste Gulbenkian, in Aveiro. He continued his studies at the University of Aveiro, having finished the degree in composition with 19 values, under the guidance of Prof. Sara Carvalho, Prof. João Pedro Oliveira, Prof. Joan Rivera and particularly with Prof. Ricardo Ribeiro.
As a composer, was awarded with the Prize for Best Electronic Portuguese Music in the "X Competition of Electroacoustic Music" sponsored by Miso Music with the work "The Electronic Sounds of the Birds" (2009). He was a finalist in the "2nd International Composition Competition" sponsored by Casa d Música, with the work “Klanken Uit” (2009) and the 1st International competition of composition "New Composers" held by the Metropolitan Orchestra of Lisbon (2013). Won the 5th International Composition Competition of Povoa do Varzim, with a concert for clarinet and orchestra (Ocaso), interpreted by the clarinetist Sérgio Silva Neves (2010). Was distinguished with an honorable mention in the 1st International Caravelas Composition Competition (2011).
Currently, he is completing a master's degree in composition at the University of Aveiro under the guidance of Professor Vasco Negreiros. His works have been played in Portugal, Slovakia, France, Monaco and Brazil.
