Nuno Moura was born in Gaia in 1981.
He began his musical studies in 1993 at the Philharmonic Society of Crestuma, where he studied the Horn.
At the Oporto Conservatory of Music he studied Horn with Gil Lopes and composition with Fernando Lapa.
In 2006 he was admitted to attend the composition course at Escola Superior de Musica e Artes do Espetáculo do Porto (ESMAE). His teachers were Eugénio Amorim, Fernando Lapa, Dimitris Andrikopoulos and Carlos Guedes.
He has participated in Master Classes with Klaas de Vries and Magnus Lindberg in activities carried out between ESMAE and Casa da Música.
He participated in the concert "Música e Revolução" promoted by the Oporto Music Concervatory and the Casa da Música with the electroacoustic work "Murmúrio", in April 2004.
He has participated in several reading sessions for young composers at Casa da Música,where his work "Orange and Blue" was performed by the Remix Ensemble.
In 2014 in Faro he participated in the Atelier for Young Composers of the Orquestra Clássica do Sul, under the guidance of the composer António Pinho Vargas where his work "Suite" was performed.
He participated in the World Premiere, Fifteen Minutes of Fame with the work "60 Seconds" for Double-Belled Trumpet performed by Joe Drew in New York in 2014.
